Research Fellow of the University of Melbourne, Dr. Isaam Saeed (the right one in the photo), visited us. Dr. Saeed is an bioinformatician and develops a robust binning method for sorting metagenomic contigs. We will continue collaboration in bioinfomratic tools of metagenomics.

International Summer Internship student, Ms Cher-Chien Lau. She is a master student from Bioinformatic Lab, Faculty of Biosciences and Bioengineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. She visited us for two months (July and August) and involved with the analysis of coral-associated bacteria using multi-variant statistical methods and data mining methods.
